About Art Education

Arts education is one of the curricular areas at secondary stage of school education and its objective is to provide joyful experience to the learner, to refine his/her aesthetic sensibilities, to expose him/her to the cultural ethos and diversity of the country through different art forms and other cultural components leading to an awareness and appreciation of the national heritage and culture. It also helps in developing a perspective of artistic and creative expression while exploring, experimenting and expressing through varied art forms under visual and performing categories.
