for quite some time. As an Art Education teacher, I often felt a deep urge to create something truly innovative
and meaningful, especially in light of the growing emphasis on Art-Integrated Teaching and Learning within the
National Education Policy NEP 2020. The NEP encourages a joyful, multidisciplinary approach to education,
placing strong importance on visual expression, creativity, and the integration of Indian ethos through art and
culture at every stage of learning. It particularly highlights the need for early childhood care and education
ECCE to be vibrant and engaging filled with colours, drawings, and storytelling. This Illustrative Comic Book is
a humble yet imaginative attempt to fuse visual art with language learning. The narrative is inspired by the Class
IV lesson Swatantrata ki Aur, reimagined through a creative lens that makes the story visually compelling and
emotionally engaging. More than a visual aid, this book is a symphony of colours, emotions, and imagination,
where shades and strokes are as expressive as words. The comic not only aids comprehension but also nurtures
curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking key goals of 21st century education.
